En tant que photographe, j'ai traversé l'Asie pendant 2 ans à la recherche des peuples et des cultures oubliés. C'est au milieu des Annapurna, au Népal, en Avril 2010, que j'ai croisé la route d'une vieille femme assise devant sa maison.
Plus qu’un portrait, cette grand-mère ("bajay" en népalais) est devenue l’égérie de mon projet 56000km. Elle a fait la couverture de mon premier livre et représente à elle seule tout ce que j'essaie de montrer à travers mes photos : La beauté sans artifice, sans code, sans carcan.
Trois ans après, je suis retourné dans les Annapurna pour tenter de la retrouver. Qui était-elle vraiment ? C'est cette histoire que je vous raconte à travers ce film et ce reportage.
